How should you take this medication?
Prilosec comes as an extended-release (long-acting) capsule. It usually is taken once a day, before a meal. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacis

or chew the capsules; swallow them whole.

What is this medicine
Prilosec is used to treat certain conditions in which there is too much acid in the stomach. It is used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease, a condition in which t
he acid in the stomach washes back up into the esophagus. Sometimes Prilosec is used in combination with antibiotics to treat ulcers associated with infection caused by the H. pylori bacteria (germ).<
br> Prilosec is also used to treat Zollinger-Ellison disease, a condition in which the stomach produces too much acid. Prilosec is also used to treat dyspepsia, a condition that causes s

th, or on genitals; unusual bleeding or bruising ; unusual tiredness or weakness

Blurred vision; confusion; drowsiness; dryness of mouth; fast or irregular heartbeat; flushing ; general feeling of discomfort or illness; headache; increased sweating; nausea
