When you are taking Diflucan, it is especially important that your health care professional know if you are taking any of the following:

medicines with Diflucan may increase the chance of side effects affecting the liver

How should you take this medication?
You can take Diflucan with or without meals.
Take this medication exactly as prescribed, and continue taking it for as long as your doctor instructs. You may begin to feel better after the f
irst few days; but it takes weeks or even months of treatment to completely cure certain fungal infections
|
Side Effects of This Medicine
Although side effects from fluconazole are not common, they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
- upset stomach
- loss of appetite

altered taste
- diarrhea or loose stools
- headache
- dizziness
- fatigue
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
- rash
- itching
- vomiting
- yellowing of the skin or eyes
- dark urine
- pale stools

Symptoms of overdose
Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical treatment immediately.
